Every year Cassper puts out a challenge and every year he pushes the limits and increases his target by almost double…This year triple!!!
This year was no different and as per usual we where there to document and capture all the action.
Cassper started by promising to #FilluptheDome, then proceeded to bigger and better things with his second campaign to #FillupOrlando, this year round he succeeded in making local history by being the first local artist to rank up there with various international acts; U2 topping with an estimated 72,000, followed by Red Hot Chilli Peppers at 65,000, Coldplay at 62,000, in terms of ticket sales and crowd volumes at a show.
With a whopping 68,000 tickets sold Cassper went from 20,000 at The Dome, 40,000 at Orlando to a new record for any local artist without any international support and with a capacity of 75,000 came very close to his target of filling the FNB Stadium and breaking U2’s standing record.
Reports however claim that ticket sales where halted and that crowds gathered outside which would’ve seen Cassper #FillupFNBStadium as promised.
The crowd that was lucky enough to have made it inside was treated to yet another sound, lighting and performance spectacular that would’ve left most international acts looking like a Mickey Mouse show.
The collaboration between Formative & Cassper Nyovest yet again paid off, not only breaking records but also leaving the crowd wanting more and wondering what’s next…?
